Anyone have any experience with a 743 Bobcat skidsteer. Looking at one that has white smoke on startup. Know it could be headgasket, head or block crack. Other? Expensive parts to work on? I can do my own wrench work. Is a diesel engine. |

| Could be a bad injector too. How many hours are on it? It should be a Kubota V1702(B) engine. |

| If it just smokes at startup,it could be as simple as bad glow plug(s). Starts on 2 or 3 cylinders and huffs white due to unburned fuel until the other cylinders catch up. But if it is loosing coolant or has bubbles in the radiator most likely a cracked head. Kinda a common problem if the unit has been overheated. |

| | Looked at unit. Filled radiator catch tank full. Puked a lot out as soon as it started. Passed on it. Weird engine mounting and cooling system. Flywheel is also the fan for the radiator. Really could not easily swap in another engine. I see a company out of TX is making new heads for the 1702 engine. Must be a problem! |
