  Will this be strong enough? Should weld right in. Should a keyway be cut into it? |

| I also would like to do this repair. Are these splined couplers ? were did you get them? any help would be greatly appriciated. |

| I would weld them straight in, watch out for shrinkage,if you have a spare shaft it would be a good idea to have it in the new hub when you weld it in.

Hi I need to do the same thing. I have the machining capability but have been unable to find the sockets can you tell me where you found then. Thanks |

| Well I had a machinist make them. He bored out the old splines and pressed the sockets in. They still need to be welded in place. Machinery spare parts, is the buisness and Dan Renfrow is the man. He did four sprockets and four sockets for 1000.00. His phone is 816-254-5156. |
