The 1.6 ford in the 742 is a very common engine in the USA, and even more common in Europe, being used in various automobiles since the late 60's. The engine is called the Kent, and more specifically the Kent crossflow. USA cars had them in the pinto, Escort, and the Fiesta.

| I have one sitting in my garage that came out of a 642 bobcat that I repowered.There is nothing wrong with it.
