Yes it is a B model dozer with a single lift cylinder on the front like a terex. It is made in Britian but that is all I know about it. Please help me find out any thing because if it is not too odd I plan to buy it. The serial # is41002B000757-X

My father had a td8 International bulldozer. I helped start it up and run it in the 80's. I was talking to someone about the way it started up with gasoline and when you pulled down on a lever, it changed the compression in the cylinders, and changed to diesel. It didn't have glow plugs because running on gas warms it up enough to run on diesel. The guy said it has a pony motor or only ran gas on 2 cylinders. That is not how my dad said it worked. Does anyone know what I am talking about???

The BTD8,s wereolder than yours,with a 281 indirect injection diesel with glowplugs.I think yours sounds like a TD8B,made in Britain with the single hydraulic cylinder(theBTD8 had two)using the german engine239 cu,ins.direct injection.This series is a lot newer than the serial numbers described by Milton.

pukeko, --- 8 / March / 2003 ---

The next IH crawler that I have listed (made in England by IH) is just listed as "TD-8".
SERIAL NUMBERS for the TD-8 are;

1966 ---- 3794 to 4126
1967 ---- 4127 to 4403
1968 ---- 4404 to 4751
1969 ---- 4752 to 5010
1970 ---- 5011 to 5289
1971 ---- 5290 to 5385
1972 ---- 5386 to 5539
1973 ---- 5540 to 5849
1974 ---- 5850 to 6129
1975 ---- 6130 to 6226

I DO NOT have a listing for a "TD-8B" crawler.

Maybe somebody has a listing for that crawler.

Regards, Milton
