| | I currently work... in a welding supply store with the Lincoln welding consumables book right in front of me. The 6010 IS the rod classification!!! 60,000 psi tensile, all position with a cellulose coating. AWS classification E6010. I've also been a licensed interprovincial red seal welder for close to 30 years. I think you should have your facts straight before you try to correct anyone. LoL |

| Well get yourself a 6010 rod and a 6010 5P+ rod and try to cut each on with some cutting pliers. You will find the 5P+ rod is much harder!! A normal 6010 rod and a 6010 5P+ rod are not the same!! |

| It's still a 6010 class rod. You don't measure the strength of a welding rod but how hard it is to cut with side cutters, otherwise you might as weld everything with hard facing rod. |
