LJD 12-01-2012 05:28:01 75.251.58.0 Report to Moderator	The 130 cube engine came two ways - with sleeves and with no sleeves. That goes for the GO130 gas engine and the DD130 diesel. So, all depends on what condition the bore is. If the bore is bad - Hercules sold oversize pistons up to .060" over but you'd need to yank the engine to bore it. If it has sleeves - and you can actually find new sleeves somewhere - you can renew the bore without pulling the engine. The sleeved block is #26102222D (gas and diesel). The block with NO sleeves is #261011D (gas and diesel). [Reply]   [No Email]

If he starts looking for bearings it is going to make a difference if he has a DD or A DDH crankshaft. Do you know the casting number for those> He said it was a diesel so most likely it has sleeves. This was however, an OC-46 off of a Lake Erie Ore boat. It was used to clean out the corners of the holds prior to skid steers. Larger equipment was used to clear the majority of the hold. Dad bought it approx 1994 when it was taken off the boat. It is really in amazing cosmetic condition. Mechanically I think she was worked hard and put away wet. Thanks again, Noel [Reply]  [No Email]

Schwiebert, 12-01-2012 07:51:55   The Hercules parts book shows the gas and diesels coming with sleeves or without sleeves. It was optional for both gas and diesel. The book shows DD versions in B,K,L,H,O,I,J,M,N,A,and C. Rod bearings show as just one # for all - 43081B and they come in standard, ..020" under and .040" under. Piston pin bushing is # 140121A. Main bearings differ by engine model. Diesel DD130, 149, 169, 173, 198, 226, 260, 298, and 339 all take 285102B for front, rear and intermediate. Thrust bearing for diesel DD130, 149, 169, 173, 198, 226, 260, 298, and 339 is # 285110B. All mains available in standard, .020" under and .040" under. Some are copper-lead and some are tin.
