Rod, we got our first 885 DB in in December of 1971 I remember this well as in Jan of 1972 our shop burnt and I used the 885 to move and load many things to our new shop as it had a DB loader, the deal Case made with DB was that they had to have the Case/David Brown decals on all tractors starting in 1973 production year, I am thinking it took that long to move all the stock DB had on hand when the deal went thru, more of the deal was seen in the 1974 model year as they "merged" the two colors from each company the "Power White" was from DB to "Power Red" from Case, I know a lot of people did not like the new color scheme but I really did as I tought the DS paint faded quicker than the Power White, hope this explains it a bit cnt |
