First off I like CASE, and I have a few, O.K. Problem is I have a former student Nic, that has a ford 600 series (gas), and he needs some good used part or maybe new parts if no good used ones can be found. His Grand Dad, bought this tractor new back in the middle 50's. He needs a good source for them (Flunky Old Rebuilt Dodge) parts. I used DonL when restoring my 51 CASE D, and he would like a source for them other kind of parts, that is as good as DonL, as well as several others on here, that will do him right. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. So if you can help, Please let me know, and I'll pass the info onto Nic and his and his Dad, Greg, also a former student. My e-mail is suppose to be open. THANK YOU.

Gosh, I usually wouldn't jump in on the "ribbing" so to speak but I got to.. This made me think of a story..

We used to have a neighbor fella.. He'd be pushing 70 if he was still here today.. He was the kinda guy a younger fella could sit and listen to his stories all day.. They were kinda like "truck driver stories" as were mentioned on tractor talk the other day.. His stories were mostly true, but we would "add" to them to suck ya in or make ya laugh.. We all know a guy like this ol' boy was..

Anyhow, we'd talk farming, or trucks, or fixin, or pretty much anything.. mention Ford and he'd say in a somewhat "commercial announcer" jingle/singing kinda way (I can hear him say it in my head but dunno how to put it in words so that one could "hear" it too LOL)

"Buy a Ford, buy the best.. Plow an acre, spade the rest" In regards to tractors..

"Buy a Ford, Buy the best.. Drive a mile, walk the rest" In regards to trucks/cars.

Funniest part of it was in my lifetime he had 3 Ford tractors and lord only knows how many Ford trucks/cars.. His son still has the beloved Super Major around his old place to this day.. He was rough on equipment, if it held up it had to be pretty good. I believe he did his maintenance for the most part, but nothing was ever inside, and everything was used well beyond it's limits.

Thanks for the memories :) ..

Brad

And I thought Driver Returning On Foot was the backwards version of that name. The most common one was Found On Roadside Deserted.

What parts? Look here on YT and they may have what you need. Or go to the Ford page here on YT.

That definition is wrong.......

F lip

O ver

R ead

D irections

is the correct definition.

Much better than

M y

O ld

P lymouth

A int

R unning

or....

According to Webster

Dodge=AJD: to avoid.
