The dealer had let it out for loan or rent, so it wasn't new but had never been sold. It was always the "yard" tractor, it had a front loader on it and was used for hauling manure, grinding feed, blowing and hauling silage ect. It was never used much for tillage. Dad had another DC-4 and a ford jubilee that were used for that till he bought a new 800 then an 830. It eventually quit running because the cam went out. That's when he gave it to me. I replaced the motor with one that came from my brother that had a busted rear end. I wish I had kept the original engine and fixed it tho, but I was young then and not into collecting. GrEAT JOB ,. the DC in their time was the most perfect tractor Case had in the lineup..they are still a sensible farm tractor giving me good service after 60 yrs..trydoing that with a modern bull-s-it fendt or deere 60 yrs from now without breaking into the bank vault [Reply]  [No Email]
