Most of the differences would be cosmetic between the 300B and the early (<1964) 430s. In many respects the early 430s were more like a 200B with a 148 ci engine.
- The 300B would have full fenders with the foot plates extending to meet the fenders. The 430 had clamshell fenders.
- The dash on the 430 included individual gauges and lights, while the 300B had an instrument cluster.
- The hood on the 300B had inspection covers for the battery and fuel tank, while the 430 had an inspection cover for the battery, but the fuel tank neck stuck up through the tin with the cap exposed above the tin.
- The upswept muffler was positioned on the left side of the hood on the 300B, while the 430 muffle came up through the hood.
- The hood is one piece from the nose cap to the dash on the 430. The 300B hood has two "lowers" on the sides aft of the engine.
- The 300B would have a stainless strip on each side of the hood, with a metallic "CASE" emblems on the sides towards the front. The 430 only had decals.
- One major difference was the 300B diesel engine was a 157 ci Continental, while the 430 diesel engine was made by Case and was 188 ci.
There may be some other differences, but those are the obvious ones....

| The tractor has small fenders on it, but we suspect it has had 430 replacement parts put on it over the years. It was pretty rough, and alot can happen in 50 plus years. Thanks for the info. |
