I posted once before but still can not find part number for seals in a valve that raises and lowers box blade. g430 Ser # 8197258. I have talked to 3 Case IH dealers one is an old Case dealer. Also talked to 2 industrial dealers and looked on websites with no success. I called hydraulic dealers. They say I have to go thru Case. The shaft mics at 1 in and the seals are .135 wide. I have O-rings but I think they will scar when the shaft is pushed thru.It is hard to push and the corners are sharp. I believe this is a factory set up. Thanks |

| The Gresen Company was acquired by Parker Hannifin Corp several years ago. The company is in the Cleveland, OH area. You should google the company, they have over 1000 service stores called "ParkerStore" maybe they can help you. |

| | Does the seal cros section they gave you look like a T? If so take a look at 10,000-12,000 series at this link. http://gtweed.com/web/of_sealing If there are two grooves for seals, does the seal they gave you look like the one at this link? http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PARKER/menuitem.de7b26ee6a659c147cf26710237ad1ca/?vgnextoid=fcc9b5bbec622110VgnVCM10000032a71dacRCRD&vgnextfmt=default&vgnextcatid=2646148&vgnextcat=BPP+PROFILE+TYPE+B+POLYPAK(TM) I am betting on the first, very common and easy to get T seal sets at most industrial seal supply houses. I am thinking with the dims you gave it may be a #214 Greene Tweed T seal with zero or one back up. Internal grooves of small bores hard to measure unless you have the right kind of mics, don't know what you have. You should be able to find an industrial seal supplier there in the DFW area and maybe even a Greene Tweed and Parker distributor if you think it may be one of their seals you need. Jim |

| The seals go in the valve block. There are square grooves cut in where they fit. I do have a shuttle shift and no pto. Four speed with high /lo shifter. The valve justs picks up box blade and drops it. The only reason I tried O-rings is I had some and need something. A place in Waco,Tx called belts and hoses gave me a couple of seals but they are a little thick for the grooves.. I thought about sanding them down but not sure if that would hurt the sealing. No one seams to be able to find a schematic on that valve. I live in a small town called West,Texas. |

| | Do the seals go on the shaft or are they internal seals in the valve block? Are the seals o-rings or some special seal, say one that looks like a T in cross section or do they look like a funky Vee packing with a small o-ring in the big end of the main seal ring? Generally o-rings are not used as seals that are subjected to constant reciprocation. There should be a good bevel on the bore in the block where the shaft goes in IF the shaft holds the seals. Something like a 30 degree angle and not a sharp corner which tend to cut the seals. Can the shaft go in either end of the bore? That asked maybe one end has the bevel angle and one doesn't indicating that that is the end in which to insert the shaft. I know, a lot of questions but just trying to figure out what you have. Any good industrial seal supply house should be able to fix you up with the proper size seal you need. The width you give VS the shaft diameter does not sound like you are looking for an o-ring. Too fat for the seal diameter OR the o-ring uses high perfomance plastic split back up rings on either side of the o-ring. Jim |

| Out of curiosity - dopes your tractor have a shuttle shift? If so does it have a PTO also? I used to work in industrial maintaince in a plant in Massachusetts. We used to go to a rubber place in Zyer that had any rubber seal you could imagine, they cut it special order in many cases from bulk stock. Maybe you can find one in your area.If nopt e-mail me and we can see if I can find them so you can call them. Good luck Mr Bill |
