My kid wanted to go sledding. The snow was to soft and deep on the hill. I used the 430 as a groomer some to make her happy. lol
Nice thing is I gotta play on the tractor and get some seat time.

| Pops 430 was a good tractor to lay down the sleddding track. that was over thirty years ago . We live up in the knobs and hills above OHIO river .. as kids we always had a sled riding track that was angled off the road /right out the kitchen door and headed to ward the hog house and tru the valley , and acroos the frozen pond ,, about 600 feet or more ,, Boy we HAD Some Sled Ridin parties ! , complete with bonfire , homemade wine , gals and song ,, ,, our neighborhood had a clan of Scotch /Irish Cherokee heritage Fun lovin Folx who lived on the block loop which comprised two sections . we honestly had a full crew to play baseball anytime we fancied . its kinda odd that i did not marry one of the Gals because i ended up with a wife that was just like them in nature. it was a fast track on a steep hill with a wipeout curve at the fastest point . it is a wonder no one got hurt in the many races we held ... since the track arced over to the woods , many times we would use the 430 and wagon and transport the sleds and riders back to the top of the hill, , grab some more firewood for the bonfire ..since the fire was rite next to road we always had visitors stoppin in . one got the idea of using a 49 plymouth car hood ,we ran that hood year after year till it wore plumb thru the steel, many a nite we would be out til 3 am ,.. |
