John Saeli 01-15-2013 17:19:55 66.66.16.240 Report to Moderator	That piece you have unbolted is a "seal carrier". It can be difficult to remove. There is an o ring behind it. The seal can be removed by stabbing it & prying it out. The reason you can't turn the shaft is because when not in use, there is a brake applied to keep the shaft from turning. Or, worse case, the brake is wore out, & the plates are warped. [Reply]   [No Email]

Austin, do you remember where you got the new oil seal replacement. I'm getting quite an inventory from the catalogs of wrong sizes. I removed the one from the tractor and I'm sizing it and trying to replace it.
