Patsdeere 01-10-2013 21:11:03 76.103.235.50 Report to Moderator	I was pondering picking up a NAM baler. Couple of questions, overall how big is it? Are there bearings for the wheels (in case I pulled it to a local parade) and finally what is a value of one in rust condition needing the wood parts (what parts are wood????)? Thanks a bunch. They were designed for stationary use in the 14x18 and 17x22 size. NAPM was the same design only had a pickup for field baling. In 51 a NAPM cost $3300. [Reply]  [No Email]
Case Nutty 1660 01-11-2013 12:04:13 75.127.24.27 Report to Moderator	Re: Nam baler in reply to Patsdeere, 01-10-2013 21:11:03   I have never heard of a "NAM" Case baler but a "NCM" "NCM-T" or a "NT" models were made, as to the wheels from my parts book it looks like the wheels are bushed but are greaseable, I have a staionary Case chopper that has te same wheels and I greased it several times but pulled it 50 miles home behind my pick up with no problems, their is some wood in the plunger area for carring/slideing of the plunger, here are some pics of the various models to help you identify what you are looking at, I will say if it is a hand tie "NCM" restored they bring very good money cnt [Reply]  [No Email]

We towed a NCM from our farms (a 3.5 mile drive at road speed with a Case LA all the time with no problems. An interesting note is the Lit. that I posted here about the older NL Case baler. It was a high speed stationary baler, and the lit. proves it LOL. If a company distributed lit. like that today the lawyers would have a field day. (if they knew what a field day was) HeHe. I like the third pic. with the baler backed into the hay mow with the wisconsin engine on it. Today one spark and barn burns down, Case woulda built a new barn, paid for loss income, pain&suffering, and who knows what else.
