Lazy WP 01-10-2013 20:22:26 184.21.113.127 Report to Moderator	I finally got it running good, now it tries to left on its own, and I can hardly turn it to the right, and I am a pretty good size guy. When I see it has been changed as in the 90 deg zerk on yours there is chance that a longer threaded zerk will lock up the actuator slide. Joe [Reply]  [No Email]

With the front end off of the ground, and the engine running, I can't turn the wheels to the right. With the engine off, it turn pretty easily. I tried using a screw driver to pry it back and forth, and either I'm not doing it right, or I have something screwed up. I did a search, and found where this was discussed a couple years ago, but I'm not having much success. [Reply]  [No Email]

The drag link is not forcing the valve actuator out of neutral. Remove that grease zerk in case the threaded end is too long and try your screwdriver pry again. Pry against the stud ball seat as shown and again on the other side. If the actuator can only be pried in one steering direction, pin #23 in adjustment nut #24 may be broken and adrift obstructing the spool travel. Broken pin generally happens doing assembly so the question is has this cylinder functioned since the last time it was apart? Pic is a broken pin, small piece is the obstructer. Shank of a 1/8" drill bit makes a suitable pin. If the actuator can be pried in both directions but the steering force does not change, spool bolt #22 may be broken. Spool travel is very narrow, less than a 1/4" total so it doesn"t take much to cause problems. Misadjustment (#24), excessive wear, etc are also potentials, you just have to take it apart and check. Bought the tractor as a "hay sweep" and turned it back around. I am putting my #22 loader and backhoe on it. When I drove it into the shop, I thought that some of the reverse steering were hanging up, but now I am sure its in the actuator. [Reply]  [No Email]

There are springs on each side of the ball on the mechanical linkage, that engages the socket in the valve. It sounds like one of the springs is broke. Ps the hyds. you have setting are on hold for me. for a bit, something else came up, requiring my extra money (if there is such a thing).
