Lost a library of info when we lost "The Preacher" Ed Axthelm. We'd talk 4 times a week. Had a lot of fun w/ ole Ed. I'd get him riled up, & he'd say "now just hold on a minute here". Really miss him. |

| John, never met "the preacher" but ordered vac parts and sent a check for them. When he went to pull the parts they weren't as described and he called me and sent back my check. I'm in Arkansas so he could have gotten by with it. Now that is a man of integrity. What brand of preacher? Just curious, lots of preachers in my family. Wheat Straw |

| It was a nickname; in one of the early issues of "Old Abe's News" there is a photo of him, Dave Erb, the seller, and Ray Hoffman, the buyer of a 15-27. The caption reads, the buyer, the seller, and the preacher who blessed the deal. That's the origin of his nickname. |

| Somehow, I don't really know, but "The Preacher" was a nickname Ed earned. He did use a lot of "biblical" names in his speech, but it was more cursin' than preachin' |
