In 1969 we had a very rough winter, many days had no school. Getting bored I took the family scroll saw and built this tractor out of mainly 1/4 plywood in our basement that winter. When my folks moved off the farm 20 yr ago I was surprised the tractor was still there, I had long forgotten about it. Well another 20 yrs is gone and it got dug out again. It does have a few things broke off, the clutch and brake pedals and rear reflector lights, but other than that pretty good shape. Lugs on tires are layered electrical tape cut to width and length. Muffler is a wooden spool with a bent nail cut off for a extention. The little decals are cut out of electrical tape also. All pieces are glued together. Even has a vinyl headliner and upholstry, I do not remember where that came from. The 1/16 scale 1070 is there for size comparison. I was a CASE nut at a young age. Rod.

Hi Nutty, The pen holder in cool, what was the Case from? Now I know what I want for Chirstmas but I'll have to wait till next year, one of those 1200,s. I never seen them before till your Bro posted a pic and I thought it was one in the background. Rod.

the "pen holder" is made from clutch/brake pedal covers and combine control levers covers,, the pedal covers are from combines but 1200 and 1470 used them as well, this is a back side veiw for you cnt

Rod,
Do you think Santa's elves have some spec's on that nice tractor or do you have it patented? LOL That is truly amazing work you did there. You have some great detail in that tractor for sure. Great job.

Rod,
Nice job. Been doing that myself, the last couple of snowy days. Been making some other stuff also such as Casey the hound, that converts to Casey the combine. It is a kids pull toy, complete with a cog in his belly that makes a sort of barking sound.
If I can get the build time down with these proto types, I may accompany the wiffey to some craft shows next spring. I have a genaric tractor also that I can paint any color
