| I don't know how stout the spring should be. If you are working on an 800B you can experiment fairly easily with pressure. If the tractor is a small frame 400/600B it's a lot of work to expirement with the spring. The cartridge should be available from CNH, but could be spendy. To my knowledge the snap ring is nothing out of the ordinary. Loren |

| Thanks loren, Im working on a 831 which should be about the same setup as a 800B I think. I removed the pump, filter assembly And noticed the valve was stuck about 1/4 of the way open, I tapped the top and it went back in to place I think some filings might have held it open. The spring seams to have good force but I dont have anything to compare it to. I would like to take it apart and clean it out. It was also suggested to me that I stretch the spring a little or Put a washer behind it. I posted a couple pics in the gallery if you want to see it. Thanks again: Austin |

| Thanks paul! I just wish she would start a little easer, but I was told all 301 diesels were cold blooded. Where abouts are you located in w,il I might have to take you up on the parts offer if your close enuf, I have a good sized list made. I saw your 830 in the galery! Sure is a sharp looking machine!
