Definitely a GT. The Gt is easy to tell from the CHT as the CHT "pushes" to lift the tail wheel(thus requiring a heavy pipe linkage) while the GT "pulls" the tailwheel lift assembly (thus able to use only a rod as shown). Also the CH series has the axles mounted above the frame (giving more clearance for trash) and the GT series has the axles under the frame as shown in the photo. The Ch series axles work as scissor(furrow axle rotates back and land axle rotates forward to lift the plow) whereas the GT both axles rotate back to lift the plow. This is why the tail wheel lift mechanisms are different. The GT was the "economy" model and the CH was the "premium" plow.

Bradley, Thanks for the detailed info. Here in Central NY, plows of that era that were sold, were STAs MTAs and JTAs. Eagle Hitch doomed the trailer plows. Loren

Hi Loren: I would say the advent of 3 pont hitch on larger tractors( 80 hp plus) doomed the trail plow in southwestern Ontario. Mounted plows inexcess of 3 furrows were not in much demand. In the Case lineup, the change from the 930CK to the 930DOM allowed for the semi mounts to dominate the market. Other manufacturers, of course, did the same. We are now seeing somewhat of a comeback of the trail plow with the 10plus furrow flex plows.

It could be a GT as Joe said, or a CHT. Hard to tell them apart. Loren

| | Loren I was having a hard time telling whether it was a G or C series until I saw the hitch assembly. The design of the G series is substantially lighter, and the one in the picture matches the one in the diagram below...

I believe you have a GT46 plow. "G" series with trip bottoms.
