I'm restoring a 1948 CASE VAC tractor that has single wheel front end. I would like to replace the single wheel with a wide front axel assembly.Any suggestions as to where I might find a wide front axel assembly for a VAI or VAC tractor? Gerry Ackerman, Sr. Home 505 783-4475 Cell 505 713-8277 |

| Actually the steering link for that wide front axle and the single front wheel are the same, I have both. The VAI front axle was a conversion. Might be easier to find a hole tractor the just a front axle. |

| This is the correct WF for a 1948 model. They show up on ebay occasionally, but the shipping cost is prohibitive unless you are close. Keep in mind that the steering link is longer than the one for narrow front end, and must be changed also. |

| The VA (a vac with wide front, 28" rears and short axils, and the same wide front as a vai except that it has a center bracket to raise the front level)looks sharp. You could probably fabricate the center piece for one off a vai and have a sharp tractor, or find a wide front off an orchard model.Sheat Straw |

| The single wheel VACs arn't that common. Why would you want to change it? As said, a VAI front would make it look real odd. Loren |

| I think you will find that a WF for a VAC & VAI are not the same. It will probably fit but your tractor will be running down hill. I have a VAI in my parts yard with a WF if you choose to pursue it. |

| | I'm interested in persuing the WF. Do you have a picture and what are you asking for the WF? I have a number of extra parts that I could trade if you needed any. Gerry Ackerman, Sr. 505 783-4475 |

| Keep in mind that you need to change the steering gear box with the WF change or it will steer the wrong way. |
