I'm puting my SC Case back together and I believe these brackets were bolted to the bottom axel bolts, near the hitch, but I may be wrong. Even if they go there, I have no idea what they were for. I'm not sure if they're "Case" issue or not. Any ideas? Thanks. |

I have a 42 SC that we used on the farm. These were used for a spring for the cultivators. When the cultivators were takes off, these remained on the tractor. They are CASE, but not really part of the tractor. I still have these hanging in the farm shop. The frame of the cultivator was green, and these brackets were green. I took them off when I restored/repainted the tractor.

Thanks for the replies. I found a photo showing the motor lift arms and springs, although it doesn't show the brackets, but I'm guessing that's what I have from both your descriptions. Thanks!

They are the brackets that the assist springs attach to for the motor lift.

Thanks! I'll see if I find a photo of the lift mechanism. Unfortunately, I don't have the rest of the system.
