Has anyone used import Head gaskts verces Case gaskets. If so what is the track record of imports verses case. I know there is about 50 bucks difference, is that all or is there more Thanks inadvance Dale

I prefer fel-pro if you can find them.

Dont risk an engine using cheap gaskets.

When I did the major on the 336 in my W14 I used the cheap import gaskets that came with the kit. When I poured the antifreeze in it came right back out the head gaskets. I complained to the kit company and they sent victor gaskets. No problems with them. I am glad they leaked to start with rather than 1 year down the road and messed up more than my schedule.

I've never seen an imported gasket set. What is the brand name on them? The old saying," I'd rather explain the price than apologize for the quality.
Having said that, Autolite plugs are now made in China, & I saw "made in Bangladesh" on TRW valve parts. WTF????

John, a while back I ordered a engine kit from Howards and I forgot to specify Victor gaskets. The gasket kit contained head gaskets individually packaged with a made in China sticker on them. I did not use them and ordered some Fel Pro. Rod.

Use Case gaskets only! The imports are junk, don't waste your time and money. The head gaskets from Case are Victor gaskets ( at least this is what I have seen with direct injected 401,451,504 engines) I order Victor headsets with my engine kits. I have used Fel-pro head gaskets before also, and they have worked fine.
