Wanting to build a strong 201 and put it in a VAC. I know that dctom, you have done it years ago. Casepower, who has not posted since like 2006, did it and had all kind of pictures posted (I REALLY wish I still had those pictures!)And I know that mEl has some info on building one up. Can you guys give some more info or pictures? What all needs to be done? I understand that the front engine cover needs changed to an internal governer (but I don"t know what that would take??)I know that the bellhousing holes have to be drilled into the block (again, Don"t know what that takes). I know that the VAC flywheel will need to be drilled to match the crank (that I can figure out :-) What about mods to the 201? I"ve read that it can go to 224 pretty easy, but not sure the best/easiest/cheapest way to do it. Head suggestions? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! thefordman79@hotmail.com

Maybe this isn't a concern but a 201 in a VAC is not NATPA legal.

For anybody wanting to do a project like this, I have two 201 engines for sale. One is stuck and complete, valve cover to pan. The other is disassembled and missing a rod, sleeve and a piston. I also have a set of 9 bolt hubs that will fit a VAC. I am 50 miles NE of St. Paul, MN $675 for everything.
