Bought a new fan belt and it is about impossible to get it between the crank pulley and the front casting. Any suggestions?

| Well, I got it on yesterday. Tried to find a cog belt and had no luck. Took a crowbar and kept bumping it with my hand and finally forced it by. No visible damage to the belt.
Was beginning to lose my religion by time I got it done. Hope the new belt lasts a very long time.

| I use cog belts and you can barely squeeze it by, never had to move the front end to change belts and I have 6 VA series.

| I have had to loosen the front end just enough to squeeze it thru. Jerry
