What is wrong if it stays down? On one of my Case 1370 the transmissions-oil pressure sometimes stays low, and if the powershift is in "R" it sometimes stay low after I let the clutch-pedal up, and the tractor dont move. But only sometimes! Sometimes it works fine. The problem started last year, but I noticed it less often this year. I gues it happend every other time last year.
If I press the gas-pedal down a little the pressure goes up and the tractor starts moving.
I-ve heard that i could be som problem with the C4 clutch inside the powershift, but could it be some problem in the valves on the right side? |

| First I would inspect the cab/platform mounts. Then I would check the clutch linkage to be sure it is travling properly from disingageposition( you should get an engine surge when pedal totally down). If the pedal is soft when releasing I would check the clutch return spring to be sure the pedal is pulled up completely against the stop. This you can do without test equipment to monitor pressures in the clutch packs. Beyond this you need the test fixture or several gauges to monitor clutch pressures in the packs. Loren |
