Topic: 430 Diesel Won't Start

Hello! I have a 430 diesel that I use to bushhog with. It ran fine last weekend, but when I tried to start it yesterday, it would crank but not fire. The fuel level was good when I parked it, so I don't think anything happened there. It has a rain cap on the muffler, but it did sit outside on Tuesday when we had 3" of rain. Any ideas of why it won't fire are appreciated! Thanks, Lee

| Mine does that time to time. Its my fault tho. I usually forget to push the kill knob back in :oops:

You may be on the rite track. I have seen the stop cables break or bend and fail to reset the pump.

| We need more details. Does it crank over at a good rate? Does it make smoke? Is the weather cooler, and does the preheater work? We can help you with more info.
