My brother saw the pics of my 426 picker I posted today and asked if I wanted to sell it. It's not for sale, but it got my friend and me talking and wondering if it has any value above scrap. Any thoughts? Reposted a pic for reference. |

There was a 425 on Craigslist last year for 1500 supposedly in decent shape. Don

I have a 425 that I bought a few years ago from a scrapper friend of mine. He had literally just finished cutting up a Case 4 row planter on the same place when I got there and he was ready to drag the picker out of the barn next. Always wanted to put it on an 800 COM but never have. It is in no danger of being scrapped by me, but if there was something Case related that I liked and it took up less shed room, I might be open to ideas. I will try to get some pictures of it put up.

It is not for sale and I wouldn't scrap it. I would sell it to someone at scrap price first. Or even give it to a colector. I was just wondering if it had any value above that.

Yep. I agree with McKerrow. This picker can't be scrapped. The Wyoming "Case-a-rama" should have field demos and your picker would be a great asset to that. Who needs to go to Rantoul Illinois when we can go to Wyoming to see the Case museum and other goodies.... LOL Think Case Nutty is pondering some great ideas??? Kow Farmer

I certainly agree with you fellas. Of all the pics Tom has posted, I can't recall seeing one of these in the collection. Watch, having said that he'll post a pic. LOL, Rod.
