I rececently rebuilt the engine on my 570. As it had a spun rod bearing when I got it. Ive been using the tractor with a 6ft bush hog for about 8 hours and couldnt seem to load the engine enough to break it in. So today I hauled it to my work and ran it on the dyno for 3 hours. It really needed it. I ran it through a 30 min warm up and found that the first hp reading was about 30hp. Right before I stopped it, it was up to 44.4hp. Wasnt expecting it to be that much. But I will say that I believe that someone has done some work to the pump. It will turn 2400rpm. But the pto is turning 630 at the 44.4hp. |

| She has been "touched" a bit... As Tom said, the "no load" rpm speed is about 340 above book value, which should be 2060. The Nebraska test for a 531 was 41 hp at 1900, so it looks like your 570 is pretty close. The 630 generated about 48 PTO hp at 2000, (49 PTO hp at 2250 for the 630 COM) and their no load governed speeds were 2150 and 2400 for the 631 and 631c, respectively. The point is your not going to hurt your 570 with a 2400 rpm governed engine speed.
BTY - you have a nice 570. Hang on to her... Case kept improving the these little tractors from the 300 to the 570 over nearly 20 years, and the 570 was by far the best example. In my opinion your diesel variant is as good as it gets. They were tough, dependable little workhorses. What a shame Case chose to replace them with what I consider the significantly inferior DB line. - Joe

| | At the factory rated rpm the hp was around 37hp. Is the only difference between the 430 and 630 the high idle setting? Or is there more done to the pump? Thanks. Im very happy with the tractor so far. Im just fixing one thing at a time. When I get to a point where im happy, im gona paint it. The tractor has 2538hrs on it. The oil pressure gauge started leaking. So the man that I got it from took the line loose. About a year later he ran it low on oil and spun the rod bearing. What a shame. It sat for several years. I had looked at it 100 times and never thought any thing of it. One day he asked me if I knew anyone that wanted it. Two hours later it was setting in my yard. I horse traded for all the parts and pieces that I needed, and I think Ive got about $350 in it at the moment. |

| 430/470 fuel delivery was lower as well as the rpms compared to 530/570 models, you got a great deal and have a very good small tractor, I thought the hp was right at 41hp on the 530/570 but mabey I am thinkig of the gas model instead, that 188 motor is very fuel efficient and tough we sold close to 1000 of them in backhoes, crawlers and utility tractors from 1966-1976 |

| those hp numbers seem correct to me at that higher rpm setting than stock for a 530/570 dsl, 580ck and 580B units turned the higher rpms and had that kind of power output, if you want to test to see what yours is doing for the factory specs set your throttle at 2060 rpm the load with dyno and pull it down to 1900rpm and this will be what hp is a factory rpms with a std clutch unit cnt |
