It is starting to come together, but there is still alot to do. The first few pictures are the day it arrived, the rest is how it sets today.

Why the distributor? It doesn't look like you are adding a starter.

Very Nice Restoration. I have a question how does the final drive in the CC compare to the later SC and DC?

Chain Drive?

The CC has the same type final drive as the SC and DC. In fact the DC is the tractor that replaced the CC and some of the parts will interchange. The engine on this tractor has a DC water pump that has had some small modfications so it can use the DC pump pulleys. The DC pulley has 2 groves so a generator can be used to charge a battery sense it will be needed with the distributor(that is mounted on a DC governor housing) that is taking place of the mag. The mag was missing on this tractor when the owner got it so we are using a distributor, they are easyer and less expensive to maintain.

The tractor was completly dissambled and all the parts were cleaned speratly. The paint that was on the tractor was not in the best shape so some of it was not to hard to get off. I uesd a power washer to get most of the grease and dirt off, and a wire brush wheel on a drill, scrapers, sand paper and alot of elbow grease to get the rest of the paint off. Even found some old paint remover on the shelf that helped. It is slower and more work than sand blasting which has away of getting into every thing, but it works and I get alot of enjoyment out of working on these old tractors so it does not feel so moch like work to me.
