Got my Grandfathers" C running for the show last weekend. Pulled a 22" Case thresher with it and did a good job. A 1937 model, it was originally on rubber but i replaced the bad tires with steel. | My dad use to tell the story about his uncle that had a IH 15-30 on his thresher. It broke down so my grandpa told his brother he would go home and get his C Case and put on it. Brother said it would not pull it. Well guess the C pulled it better then the 15-30 because it had a snapper governer on it. |

| The old C Cases were good on the belt. This is a pic of my dad's 37 that I still have. Way back in the mid 50s, dad had this C belted to a stationay silage cutter. Dad and a strong young man were pitching bundles into the cutter and I was watching. The young man said to dad, bet I can kill that old Case. Dad said no way. Bundles begin to fly into the cutter until the upper feed roller was at its stop and squeezing bundles on the conveyor. I thought maybe the feel roller casting was going to break. The old C was not even close to its max. The young man gave up pretty quick as he saw the C was a long way from choaking down. Dad smiled. |

| My C is my favorite tractor. My grandfather bought it in 1930 and I am the second owner; he gave it to me 40 years ago after another relative expressed interest as he and his brother own a C that came to Oberlin, KS on the same truckload. My dad and I put new rings in it in 1991 and it starts and runs like it was brand new. |

| Nice looking C, glad to see more of us would rather get them running than let them go to scrapyard. Scott |
