Since June 13th it grew all of about 10", blossomed, turned yellow and then the bugs set in. We will be lucky to see a ton./2A. Hope the rain will set in and 3rd, and 4th cutting will be better. Sorry aboutthe blurry last pic. That was the dust from the rake.

I put some 3rd cutting down the other day. It was so short and thin that I actually had to go slower then normal because the swather was just pushing the plant over instead of cutting it. If it is thick and tall, the plants behind it keep them in place so it can't be pushed over. Never seen it do that before. after I was done, I double raked it together. Even after that, we only bailed half the field because it was so thin and not worth it. we got 4 bales on 50 acres. :(

We have not started second cut yet, I think we might get a little more, but no barn buster thats for sure. The last week or so we have had some rain, and corn and beans are growing well. Bruce
