| The 30-70 series had a tendency to blow the oring inside the relief valve cartridge allowing failure of the relief valve to operate properly, there are three orings and a backup ring that should be replaced. There were also a few valves that had a different style relief that the seat for the ball would get beat up and required converting to the later style relief valve. Also debris beat into the bottom of the bore could keep the relief valve plunger from seating properly. Also a weak pump could cause it and that has to be diagnosed with a flo meter or by substituting it with a known good one. I would recommend that you get a local dealer to flo the pump to remove all doubt as to where the problem lies. I'm not much for guessing and thats what we are reduced to without facts and figures from tests. mEl |
