What does the timing mark on the edge of the flywheel on a CC look like? I want to change the magneto to a 4CMA (it has a Bosch right now) and if I can get number one up ( don't trust myself using the old finger on the spark plug hole method) I can do it myself. I know the D series has a "D" for number one; does the C series have a "C"?

You should be able to remove the Bosch mag without bringing No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. You note where the rotor is pointing on the Bosch mag before you pull it and then don't move the engine. Rotate the rotor on the 4CMA to the same position and install it on the engine. Hal

I was starting to wonder if you were still among the living. By the way, when I find the mark, I will take your advice.

There is a 3/16" hole for the impulse trip mark. D is for dead center, and E is the point the exhaust valve is closed. Should be the same for the D series.
