Type oil and capacities from 300B - 400B owners manual. Capacities are approximate, can vary a couple qts. Transmission SAE 90 gear oil. 17 qts. Fill plug has dipstick attached. Fill to mark. Grease the outboard axle bearings, zerks on axle housing. Torque tube SAE 10 motor oil, alternate hydraulic oil or automatic transmission fluid type A. 12 qts. 1/4" npt plug with dipstick attached will either be on the right front corner of the same cover as fill plug or back near that leaf. Steering gear housing SAE 140 gear oil. More than 1 qt, less than 2. Fill to top of worm gear. Engine crankcase SAE 10, 20, or 30 motor oil pending ambient temps. Air cleaner, same oil as engine crankcase. About a cup. Bear in mind that oils have changed and generally are better due to modern additives, multi-grades, etc since this manual was written. Personally, I use a general purpose hydraulic oil in the torque tube or sometimes SAE 10-30 motor oil (for heavy loader work using internal pump) but single grade oils elsewhere including the engine.
