You have a large tank of water, 2,000 gallons, but a small pump that will only generate 45 PSI out of a 2" hose. Next, over here we have a 1,000 gallons of water, but a pump that will blast out 90PSI out of a 2" hose. Which will knock you on your back? Compare the tank of water to amperage, & the PSI to voltage. Amperage is the volume, but voltage is the pressure. [Reply]   [No Email]

Our '63 830 (higher hp but essentially the same as a 730) used two 12v batteries, never paid attention if the were in series for 24v or parallel for longer cranking and to still have enough push to crank after the manifold heaters were used.
