500's were diesel only, 520 was an industrial version, 600 was diesel or LP, 900 was LP or diesel, have seen a couple 900's that guys switched to gas with a BIG carb and a diesel fuel tank.

The 900B's were made in deisel and propane only. Were never made for regular gas.

Hi there, the first Case that I know that had the 6 cyl. was the 500 diesel tractor, it came out in 1953, this was actualy a Case LA tractor with the new 6 cyl. diesel engine, they also made a 6 cyl. propane, I know they had them in the 1957 600 Case, they came in diesel engines also. Hope this helped you, Harold

Harold, have you ever seen a 500 with propane. Eldon and Tom only mention the diesel and searches only come up with the 520 Industrial as a variant. The 600 had some but this unit was only built a short time before they changed to the 900 which also had both but there isn't any statistics with a breakdown of engines used.

The only one that I know of that possibly could be six cylinder gas would be the 900B that started in 57. Most were diesel and Tom and Eldon's book doesn't have those stats.
