TRACTOR HAS A DISTRIBUTOR AND STARTER HOWEVER THE COIL, GENERATOR, AND IGNITION SWITCH AND ALL WIRING TO THESE COMPONENTS IS MISSING. I PLAN TO CONVERT TO 12 VOLT ALTERNATOR BUT I NEED ADVICE ON PROPER WIRING DIAGRAM FROM IGNITION SWITCH TO STARTER TO COIL. IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE RESPOND. THANKS, JAMES [Reply]   [No Email]

Might be able to find one of Dueys on this page also. 12 volt is nothing complicated. use the same wireing diagram as the 6 volt. remove the 3 way light switch wire to generator and the generator cut out switch, and install the alternator. any alternator with an internal voltage regulator is o.k. Do you have a wiring diagram? I'm restoring a 1956 and the wiring is completely shot. It has the voltage regulator conversion instead of the relay, but going back to the original is preferrable.
