Jack in NY 02-25-2013 12:01:07 108.183.227.28 Report to Moderator	I picked up (lucked into) an AC block at the scrapyard the other day. The serial number on it is CR 59315 PA. It lacks the pistons (has sleeves & crankshaft) and cylinder head and all the little stuff... I also have a CA tractor with a hole in the side of the (CE) engine block. I haven"t taken the micrometer out yet (too cold!) but rough measurement and looking through the parts catalog makes me think I can make the two into one. I"ve rebuild both a BE and CE engine before so I know there"ll always be little issues- I"m just wondering if I"m missing something on the power unit block that"ll come back to bite me... That was the link I was looking for- it's just hard to search through all the information on this site! @Jerry - I was worried for a moment, but under a thick coat of grease and grime there are generator holes! @Bob - There is an odd flat spot on the side that I haven't seen on other blocks, so that might be where the fuel pump went... I'm hoping to find power unit pictures just to see if that's the case... @McBride - I spent all my money on torches, welders and scrap metal... they'll make it fit too! [Reply]  [No Email]

The only difference in the block I can think of is the power units, depending on application, may have had a spot machined for a fuel pump. That wouldn't matter as it could be easily covered. To my understanding it sould be the ideal replacement block for you. So provided your rods, and pistons are good, a new set of rings and maybe bearings, and you should have everything to take two and make one. Here's the back post where I was told CR=CE.
