I pull from 3500 up to 4500 it needs more power. Ive been told to find a gleaner motor to go in it but have had no luck at all on that |

Put a WD45 engine in it then do mods to it. A WD45 engine is a straight bolt in and will up the HP to around 45HP but not add much weight to it

The little things like maybe mill the head a tad bit for more compression ad if you really want to ad some semi cheap HP polish the intake and exhaust area of the head

Well a stock WC is right at 30HP so going with a WD45 will bring that up to around 45HP just stock. Now if still want more and have the $$ to play with you could take that tWD45 engine and do an over bore sleeve set, mill the head and maybe do some carb work. If you really want to go hog wild find some one who can port and polish the head for you and that would open it up a good bit more but that also cost your some big $$. A simple polish job one can do with a simple demail type tool and some time

Well as I said the WC is a 30hp tractor and the WD45 a 45HP tractor stock so unless your WC is pushing 45HP yes a WD45 engine would help a lot

these are flat heads,milling i"snt gonna help,find a e-gleaner engine,if u can"t,thats ok,bore the block to 4.125,use WD pistons,re-grind yor cam to 175 specs,do a good valve job,send the carb to Motec engineering in Indiana,assembly it very carefully,get a part-time job to pay for all this,my wc dynoed about 65 ponies,oh ya,get a 175 gas gov spring,good for 2000rpm"s,your gonna think u died and went to heaven-no BS.

Sorry your wrong. Both the WC WD and WD45 use valve in head engines. This is the A/C forum not the Ford N series forum which are flat head engines. O know the WC/WD/WD45 well since I have or have had them all and THEY ARE NOT FLAT HEAD ENGINES

What they mean by 'flat head' is that the bottom of the head is flat, there is no combustion chamber at all. The combustion chamber all in the piston and sleeve. So if you were to mill the head, it would not change the compression at all. You are right in that it is not a valve-in-block engine.

Ya I knew it was a flat bottom head but he said it was a flat head as in valve in block engine which it is not and yes depending on how if is milled compression would not come up.
