I am getting ready to paint my 1940 Allis B, but don"t know what type of decals to purchase or where to place them on the tractor. I believe it should have the long "A" and "S", but I don"t know if it should be Blue or Black. Also, where do the decals get placed? Thanks for the help. |

| Mathias, check your local library for a hard back book by Guy Fay called 'Original Allis Chalmers'. It has great pictures and detailed description of decal placement. That is what I went by on my 1950 'B'

| | Thanks for the responses. Sounds like blue is the color. Is the white outline original? Were there any other decals on the tractor or was it just the "Allis ChalmerS" on the side of the hood? |

| Mid '48 and prior should be Blue like shown with under-hood muffler. The "B" was not used although I added one.
Not many decals go on the tractor.

| From what I worked out for our 1940 was the blue decals, long A and S. And they don't have the letter B on the side. Most kits come with it anyway as people like to use them. Lovely little tractor |
