I have a 1939 Allis Chalmers B with the hand brakes and Armstrong starter with Magneto ignition (no electrics, which has been sitting under cover for 3 years. started to restore it but didn't get far (no patience) It has a new seat and steering wheel tires are excellent. Overall it is good condition and should be a fairly easy project I have 10 tractors so don't need it. I roll it over every once in a while so it is not stuck but I'm too old to crank on it. My question is this a tractor that someone would want for restoration since the hand brakes are not common and if so what would be a fair price to ask for it? It ran well last time I started it.

If the tires are "excellent" they are probably worth as much as the trector. Where are you and what are you expecting for $$.

I live in Old Town, Maine don't know what to expect for a price. I was thinking $1000 would be fair.

It was about 3 years but as far as the number tractors it was almost half of them, over 52,000.

Well so much for it being rare. Probably better off parting it out.

Hand breaks are common.

I didn't realize that as I had never seen one before. Not many AC tractors around here. I thought I had read that they only made them for 3 or 4 years.
