I have an AC WD that indicates oil pressure at about 7 or 8. Is this a normal pressure reading or should it read at a higher level?I purchased a new oil gauge with a scale from 0 to 30. I changed oil and filter. When I remove the oil line at the bottom of the filter, oil does flow out of tube (indicating some oil flow). If pressure at about 7/8 is too low, what could be the problem and the fix. Your suggestions whould be appreciated. Thanks

| The gauge is to high. They run lower pressure so a automotive style gauge will show the wrong pressures. I only run the factory style gauges. I do this on all my tractors.

| Also, make sure the needle, that penetrates the filter media, is there. If it's missing, oil flows, without the back pressure, that the filter media provides.

| Your new gauge is scaled too high. Those engines run around 7-10 psi when in good condition.

| Those engines run with low pressure systems and you need the correct oil filter or your pressure will be way way to low. You need a filter like the Wix 50711. I keep the box here at my desk so I have the number right at hand. You also need a oil pressure gauge that only read for low pressure like the ones made for them and you can find those from agco or a lot of other places like this site

| Some oil filters don't have the right density filter material. This doesn't build enough back pressure to feed the oil gallery and lines. I just used a Napa 7011 and it works. The Fram C159 works too.
