How much would I expect to pay for snap coupler parts, the hook and bell, linkage, etc.? I am looking for parts to convert my WD over to snap coupler and don't have a clue as to what parts might be worth. Thanks, Tom

You are making a GOOD decision to change over to the Snap-Coupler...
SO much easier to hoop up and a Whole LOT Safer ..

Those lift-links Set-Screwed to the arms prevent an implement from dropping off, should that "Blind Pin" come out or break..
If that happens, the plow comes up into the seat with you.....
I have checked many times, just to be sure those lift-latches will release, and they really DO let go right away...!!
It is pretty nice to put the plow on right from the seat, too..!!
Ron..

Others will have answers for your question,my question is: how did a WD get out of the factory less a snap coupler hitch? What kind of a lifting hitch does it have now? I have never seen a WD or WD45 without a snap coupler Lifting hitch. Was the snap coupler hitch an option on these Tractors?

Early ones had the hidden pin hitch, pin ran horizontally from left to right, you had to back into the implement blind, crawl under the tractor, then insert a 3/4 inch pin, and a cotter key, then you attached the lift arms to square box connectors with set screws. Nowhere near as convenient as the snap coupler, yet strangely, easier than today's 3 point hitch!

"..my question is: how did a WD get out of the factory less a snap coupler hitch?" The early WDs did not have a snap coupler.

The bell probably about $75, hooks, about $25-50, snap latches, about $75-150. I get most of the stuff I need at estate sales, not consignment sales, too many dealers, and I hate paying buyers fees. Try auctionzip.com to see auctions in your area.

I tried auctionzip. The search engine didn"t help. There was everything BUT tractors.

Most places around $250+ for a compleat snap coupler. Lift arm latches, bell, tripleaver, and drawbar and bail. Sometimes you can get it for a lot less on ebay one pice at a time, if you get the parts that dont match or need some repair, like springs.

Keith, I am not really close enough to southern Ohio to drive out and pick up your parts, However I would pay for shipping if we can come to a deal otherwise. I am interested, e mail me at t4444k@verizon.net or cal me at 401-647-2143. Let me know how much you want, and what parts are included. I don't need the lift arm latches, I have them. I am looking for the bell and hook mainly, however if you have the release lever and the somewhat rare release lever for the hand clutch I would be interested in these parts also. Thanks for getting back to me, and thanks also to the other folks who have responded. Tom
