You will see how they work to tighten the hub when you take them apart. I've never had my hubs off so can't speak from experience but I would think it easier to mount the hub first and then the rim rather than the complete assembly all at once.   [Reply]   [No Email]
steve(ill) 11-19-2009 17:55:40 74.36.186.212 121291 Report to Moderator	Re: allis B center hub removal in reply to rpmguy, 11-19-2009 17:44:43   two of the bolts had a line cast into the bolt head. those two are concentric bolts. you turn them so the line points outward and that tightens the cams. It will be more obvious when you take it apart. Put the two cams next to each other, not opposite each other. To install, just make sure the air fill valve is setting in one of the notches in the hub.   [Reply]   [Send Email]

I think you took the wheel off the hard way. I would have removeed the rim first. When I mount rims, I install the 2 non-cam clamps to the wheel and rotate them to the top. I then work the rim over top of the clamps, with the valve stem in the top notch and jack the wheel up until the bottom of the rim slides in under the wheel. then install the cam clamps and tighten. You will note that only the non-cam clamps will fit between the 2 blocks that are on the wheel. Bob   [Reply]   [No Email]
