What would a fair price for this tractor be knowing that the engine will need major work, when the farmer parked it it was getting water in oil. It's SUPER straight origanal widefront.Newer rear tires but rims are bad, front rims are missing and will need two new tires. It has been stored in a barn for the last 15 years with the head off.All there just apart. Thanks in advance! |

| All I can say is MAKE SURE ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE...as stated before most parts are still out there but they are expensive. I got lucky back in 1998 and bought a good running 45D for $1800, but it was in need of a few things like new front rims, tires, front and rear, grill, tie rod ends, brakes, one lift arm was bent, hyd. cylinders needed repacked, both fenders needed alot of work, but it did and still does run great and that was the main thing. It took alot of work and a nice chunk of change but we got it right. |

| If it were advertised right, and sent to auction, I"ll bet it would bring over $1k. As long as the block is good, your ok. Parts are"nt as rare as some let on, They"re just expensive. |

| | Is there a fail safe way to check block for cracks on site? He did drain it when he parked it. But I still worry about a cracked block. Thanks |

| You might find it helpful to look at tom MN's WD45D project on his site. There are some good pics of the repair work that he had done on the cracks in the block. |

| Look closely. Small missing parts can add up the $ quickly. FWIW |

| I would say some where between $300-700. The wide front end makes it worth more but since it has been opened up that can always be a problem with missing parts |
