I'm sure Allis Chalmers made a mounted planter for the B tractors, but I've never seen one. I would imagine corn or beans would be no problem. Does anyone know if the mounted planters would be able to work with small seeds? For next year I'm considering planting 500-1500 radish and carrot seeds per week. I have a walk behind planter that would work, but having an original piece of mounted equipment would be a lot more fun. |

| | I've looked for one for years and have never seen one. I do have the sidedresser unit but as of yet been unable to use it. I'm missing parts for it. Unsure of just what, need a manuel for it. I do have three Planet Jr units. One is three point. The others are push. Will make one good push unit from the two. Now as to how the planter plants well from all the stuff I have read they are made for beans and corn. They did make a cotton planter but here in NY good luck. Also a peanut planter was made. Also a pea planter insert for the corn hopper. It allowed you to plant peas as you planted corn. Also they used the Cole planter unit. I also think they used the Plante Jr units on a toolbar unit. The Planet Jr unit would be much better as a small seed planter. That planter is made for stuff like that. However it's not great at setting seed at any distance. It plant's alot or a little based on the opening. Have to thin a fair amount. With that amount of carrots and radishes, you will be in the field sun up to sun down. Good luck. |

| Look in the Photo Ads under Tractors and the State of GA and a Richard Turner is selling a B with all accessories including a planter, cultivator etc... The photo shows the elderly gentleman/owner on the B. Hope this is what you are looking for. |
