I don't know how stout the spring should be. If you are working on an 800B you can experiment fairly easily with pressure. If the tractor is a small frame 400/600B it's a lot of work to expirement with the spring. The cartridge should be available from CNH, but could be spendy. To my knowledge the snap ring is nothing out of the ordinary. Loren
