I have been around this board for sometime. I always enjoy the help and advice given. Now a little story.. For quite some time I have been in search of Grand dads 49 DC . I found this one.. built in Nov. 1948, shipped Nov 28th 1948 to a dealer in MO. This machine is only 14 serial digits away from Grandpa's. I figured it is close enough for me. I sat on it and drove it for the first time and all the emotions of Grandpa and me as a small boy riding down the lane with me on his lap came flooding back. I have a old home movie of me sitting on my fathers lap pretending to drive and then me and dad take off. I see that moment in time every time I look out into my yard and look at this DC. This tractor was ordered with a heavy duty radiator and extended axles. Has PTO and most of the parts for a mechanical lift. She starts every time I hit the button. All I need is a set of more experienced eyes and ears to give it a once over. I already have made some contacts with some good helpful people from this board who have offered and given help. I am thankful for that. Also to have feedback from ACG, CNT and Mr.Saeli all three who I will surely lean on for info and parts in the upcoming months. Thank you 3 gentlemen for responding to my little post, and to all you will be helping me down the road. God Bless
