This 500 followed me home a couple weeks ago. The fuel system had been modified bypassing the transfer pump (see closeup pic). Since changing it back to original, cleaning the 1rst filter, replacing the 2nd and 3rd filter as well a engine oil/filter, it starts good and runs smooth as silk. The transfer pump puts out good pressure, anyone have a thought as to why it was modified? Someone said it may have made it easier to bleed the system. It started good though after I had changed out the filters etc. Still need to mess with the hydraulics as the inside lever doesnt move , one of the spools? What a tractor though for 1954, other companys must of had to play catch up to match this machine !
