I think you might be confusing the poor guy. I have noticed on here some confusion between the series of the "D" line, as it isn't consistent between models. If my memory is correct, the D17 IV is the only one where the hyd. reservoir was combined with the power director, and the hyd. fill/dipstick was deleted. Therefore being the only model which might indicate anything about cylinders on the power director dipstick- and I just can't remember that detail. The latest D15 is the series II, and that is set up the same as the earlier D15, D14, and D17's prior to series IV. AC did offer a factory optional hyd. system on the D15II similar to the one on the D17IV. But I believe it had a separate reservoir. The only place I've ever seen one is in the book!
